About the position

The Tennis Instructor at Yello Club is responsible for teaching tennis lessons to individuals and groups of all ages and skill levels. This role involves supervising tennis play, ensuring player safety, and assisting with various club events and junior programs. The instructor will work closely with a fun team to promote a positive and engaging tennis experience for all participants.

Responsibilities

• Teach individual private and group tennis lessons for all ages and skill levels.
• Assist with the supervision of all tennis play and ensure the safety of players.
• Provide competent tennis instruction for all groups and levels of players.
• Assist with coaching of the junior tennis program.
• Conduct private and group lessons.
• Help coordinate junior match play opportunities and social events.
• Form USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT) teams and assist with the same.
• Assist with pro shop sales and court bookings.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations to members about their string and equipment.
• Assist the Director with all club events, tournaments, and USTA matches.
• Deliver outstanding service to members, guests, and fellow team members.
• Promote the safety and security of all participants at all times.
• Maintain a notable visual presence during work shifts.
• Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness throughout the facility.

Requirements

• USPTA or PTR Certifications preferred.
• Prior experience instructing tennis lessons required.
• Prior experience with junior tennis programs and/or summer camp programs highly desired.
• Must have a genuine interest in working with and interacting with children and adults of all skill levels.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
