About the position

The Tennis Lessons Instructor at Pine Crest Preparatory School is responsible for teaching tennis techniques and strategies to students, promoting tennis participation, and ensuring a safe and professional environment. The role involves planning events, attending meetings and tournaments, and supporting the overall mission of the school in fostering a love for tennis among students and their families.

Responsibilities

• Teaches lessons and clinics relating to the techniques and strategies of tennis to students.
• Encourages tennis participation by planning events to promote the sport and camaraderie among students.
• Attends all certification workshops and professional development days.
• Enforces and complies with all policies and safety rules.
• Ensures that all students and parents receive courteous, prompt, and professional attention.
• Represents Pine Crest in a professional manner both on and off the court.
• Works compatibly and cooperatively with staff members and all Pine Crest employees.
• Attends all staff meetings and events/tournaments on both campuses.
• Inspects all courts/facilities daily prior to the start of play to ensure maintenance has been performed.
• Provides support to the Varsity and Middle School Coaches as appropriate.
• Stays informed of current trends in junior tennis and suggests new events to the Director of Tennis.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience teaching tennis to beginners.
• Minimum 3 years experience in the tennis industry.
• USPTA or PTR Certification required.
• USTA 10andUnderTennis Certification required.
• CPR Certification required.
