The Tensioner Technician I is responsible for maintaining the daily operation of primary tensioner machines in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring that the machines produce quality parts while meeting productivity standards. The technician will perform various tasks related to machine operation, quality control, and troubleshooting.

  • Maintain tensioner machining equipment including tooling adjustment and preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot basic machine issues as they arise.
  • Ensure the quality of the parts produced by the machine.
  • Check parts to meet established quality standards.
  • Utilize small quality testing equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and microscopes.
  • Read and interpret part prints.
  • Operate one production line at a time.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Zero to two years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience with 5S methodology.
  • Basic problem-solving or troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Capability to run up to four production lines.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.
