About the position

The Department of Psychology at Montana State University Billings is seeking a Tenure Track Assistant Professor specializing in Behavioral Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology, or a related field. This position is designed for candidates with a doctorate and will commence in August 2025. The role involves teaching, engaging in service activities, and contributing to the academic community while supporting both in-person and online students.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in Behavioral Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology, and related fields.
  • Engage in service activities as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement and department guidelines.
  • Support both in-person and online students to achieve timely graduation.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in psychology or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in Biological Psychology
  • Ability to teach Physiological Psychology and master's level Human Neuropsychology
  • Experience teaching in-person, online, or using multiple format modalities
  • Experience working with first generation students.
