About the position

The Tenure Track Assistant Professor of the RN to BSN Program at Montana State University Billings is responsible for teaching undergraduate coursework in the RN to BSN Completion program. The role emphasizes the development of nursing leadership, informatics, evidence-based practice, and cultural competence among students. The ideal candidate will engage in online curriculum development, maintain clinical expertise, and contribute to the program's accreditation efforts while fostering a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate coursework in the RN to BSN Completion program.
• Develop and teach online courses that provide engaging and accessible learning opportunities.
• Participate in online curriculum development and assessment.
• Contribute to RN to BSN program accreditation efforts.
• Engage in professional activities such as publication, research, and grant writing.
• Provide holistic advising support to students for their academic and career success.
• Participate in department and university committees.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
• Current and unencumbered RN or APRN Nursing License.
• Experience in and maintain clinical expertise in the relevant clinical area.
• Commitment to developing and teaching online courses.
• Evidence of potential for scholarly productivity.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with faculty and students.

Nice-to-haves

• Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP) in Nursing preferred.
• Prior online teaching experience.
• Experience in curriculum development.
• Nursing Accreditation experience.
