About the position
The University of Iowa is seeking a tenure-track faculty member for the position of Associate Director in the Iowa Testing Programs, focusing on Educational Measurement and Statistics. This role involves significant research, teaching, and leadership responsibilities within the department, contributing to the advancement of educational measurement practices. The successful candidate will engage in managing funding, conducting research, and teaching graduate courses, with a start date no later than August 2025.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain existing external funding for Iowa Testing Programs.
- Pursue and secure additional funding sources.
- Participate in professional organizations and state/national activities related to educational measurement.
- Lead initiatives within Iowa Testing Programs.
- Conduct ongoing research in educational measurement.
- Design and teach graduate courses in educational measurement.
- Advise MA and PhD students.
- Contribute to the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress and related programs.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in educational measurement or a related field.
- Significant evidence of leadership in K-12 large-scale assessment.
- Evidence of contributions to the design, development, and implementation of educational tests.
- Demonstrated scholarly productivity.
