About the position

The University of Chicago's Department of Family Medicine is seeking a tenured faculty member at the rank of Associate/Full Professor in Precision Health. The successful candidate will join the Institute for Population and Precision Health and will focus on research in precision medicine within a family/population health framework. The role involves collaboration across various divisions and schools within the university, teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, and contributing to the advancement of precision health methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in precision health and related areas such as epidemiology and population health.
  • Utilize quantitative precision health methods including predictive analytics and machine learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Biological Science Division and other divisions within the University.
  • Teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
  • Mentor junior investigators and contribute to their development.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Strong track record of extramural peer-reviewed funding.
  • Experience in mentoring junior investigators.
