About the position
We are seeking a highly motivated Teradata Developer with over 10 years of experience to join our team. The role involves hands-on solution architecture and end-to-end application design, specifically within the Financial Crimes technology sector. The developer will be responsible for developing complex requirements, enhancing and maintaining applications, and collaborating closely with business partners to define system application requirements. The position requires a strong understanding of the Teradata platform and the ability to provide insights from a data perspective throughout the full development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop complex requirements and enhance, modify, and maintain applications in Financial Crimes technology.
- Provide insight and direction from a data perspective and assess the impact on technology systems.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle of the capability being delivered.
- Contribute to story refinement and define requirements, estimating work necessary for delivery.
- Perform proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
- Set up and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline.
- Handle technical aspects of the application including Change Management, Maintenance, and Platform Upgrades.
- Demonstrate data sourcing, data analysis, and modeling skills to support large scale financial crimes data sourcing initiatives.
- Work with Data Analysts and Developers to ensure best practices and governance are followed.
- Communicate effectively with managers, peers, and business partners regarding deliverables and timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of applicable experience in Teradata development.
- Strong understanding of Teradata 16.x, SQL/BTEQ scripting, TPT, Informatica 10.x, UNIX Shell scripting, Autosys, Cloudera CDP, Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala).
- Experience in data sourcing, data modeling, and provisioning for AML monitoring and surveillance data assets.
- Knowledge of SQL performance tuning and database-intensive development.
- Experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery, and change management (CICD) using tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible.
- Good knowledge of Unix and development of shell scripts.
