About the position
The Assistant Professor of Social Work is a tenure-track faculty position at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) responsible for teaching, research, and service within the Social Work Department. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction at both undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing to curriculum development, and fostering student learning and professional growth in a diverse and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction in social work at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
- Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement.
- Conduct original research that advances the field of social work.
- Mentor and support the academic and professional growth of students.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department and across the institution.
- Engage in service activities that support the mission of the university.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program.
- At least two years of post-MSW practice experience.
- Experience in field education or student supervision.
- Knowledge of CSWE accreditation standards and EPAS requirements.
- Experience in teaching or training.
