About the position

The Territory Account Executive is responsible for driving sales and managing customer relationships within the Mid-Atlantic territory (Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland). This role focuses on penetrating accounts, maintaining existing relationships, and effectively communicating the value of NWN Carousel's technology solutions to clients. The position requires strong sales skills, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently to develop strategies for account growth.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively penetrates accounts in the Mid-Atlantic territory (VA, DC & MD), including competitive installations that are within designated markets.
  • Independently calls on customers and penetrates accounts.
  • Demonstrates excellent product, company, and price list knowledge.
  • Demonstrates excellent understanding of the position, discovery, and commitment questions that turn product features and company services into solution benefits for prospects and customers.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent questioning and presentation skills, effective at all levels of target customer organization.
  • Works with service management and sales management to negotiate contract terms.
  • Provides marketing with information on market climate, prospects, and competition.
  • Works without supervision in qualifying new leads and developing effective strategies for accounts.
  • Excellent sales call planning skills as it pertains to on-site sales visits.
  • Develops effective rapport with coaches, influencers, and decision makers within customer base.
  • Works effectively with other Sales partners depending upon the nature and scope of the sale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of IT project and program management experience.
  • Subject matter expert knowledge of project and program management best practices (based on the PMBOK).
  • Current PMP Certification preferred.
  • Business process optimization experience with the ability to collect business and technical requirements and develop process workflows to solve problems.
  • 10+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels.
  • Experience creating a portfolio revenue forecast and maintaining its integrity throughout.
  • Extensive experience organizing large or complex projects into a master schedule, along with any sub projects, while optimizing resource utilization across the portfolio.
  • Ability to mentor and train other PMO members.
  • Experience leading other project managers on larger engagements as a central point of contact and escalation point.

  • Experience in technology sales or related field.
  • Familiarity with cloud transformation and cybersecurity solutions.
