About the position

The Territory Account Manager at EquipmentShare is responsible for expanding the customer base by building relationships with contractors and construction company principals in the Grand Rapids, MI area. This role involves executing sales strategies, managing territory accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a geographical territory and execute the full sales strategy from market analysis to revenue growth.
  • Respond quickly to inbound leads and requests, utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Develop new business and acquire clients by building relationships with contractors and construction company principals.
  • Educate customers on how EquipmentShare can help them save money and operate more efficiently.
  • Maintain and nurture existing customer relationships to ensure satisfaction with EquipmentShare's services.
  • Promptly respond to and resolve customer inquiries, requests, and complaints.
  • Conduct sales presentations to prospective and existing customers.
  • Develop new sales strategies and techniques to increase market share and improve customer experience.

Requirements

  • Proven outside sales experience with a strong sales track record.
  • Knowledge of heavy construction equipment or industry experience in rental or construction is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical aptitude to adapt to a fast-paced environment and stay educated on EquipmentShare products and services.
  • Competitive, self-motivated, and results-driven, with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage strategic and national accounts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in B2B sales is preferred but not mandatory.
