About the position

The Territory Business Manager (TBM) role at Merz Pharmaceuticals is a field sales position focused on managing sales of promoted products within a designated territory in Tennessee. This position requires a self-starter who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and is committed to building strong relationships with key stakeholders in healthcare systems. The TBM will work closely with the Regional Sales Director to drive revenue growth and improve customer and patient experiences through strategic account development and consultative selling.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic account development by identifying new/untapped hospital/healthcare system opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key senior account stakeholders, serving as the main point of contact for C-Suite, VP-Level administration and department chairs.
  • Expand business opportunities by bringing high-level knowledge, insights, relationships and strategies to enhance Merz Therapeutics' value proposition.
  • Analyze sales and market trends to effectively identify future business opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by utilizing a consultative selling process to present and promote Merz Therapeutics products.
  • Demonstrate effective Total Office Call and Hospital Selling Skills.
  • Maintain high proficiency of product/disease state knowledge, market data and marketplace dynamics.
  • Utilize marketing data to adjust selling strategies/tactics at both customer and territory level.
  • Partner, support and enhance local advocacy relationships within territory.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings/workshops.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teammates including Medical Affairs and Reimbursement Access team.
  • Recognize, understand and navigate managed care obstacles and opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with Merz Therapeutics promotional and commercial policies.

Requirements

  • 3 years specialty pharmaceutical/biotech sales management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
