About the position

The ARIA Group is seeking a Territory Manager (TM) for the Southeastern PA region, specifically covering areas in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. This position is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic. The TM will be responsible for managing and increasing sales into the wholesaler pipeline, focusing on both existing business and new business development. The corporate culture at ARIA is partnership-driven, emphasizing the importance of relationships and technology in driving sales and revenue for the quality manufacturers represented by the company. As a Territory Manager, you will be expected to develop and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including contractors, wholesalers, engineers, architects, and building owners. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities, which may include construction projects, equipment replacements, and retrofit projects. You will also be responsible for conducting product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers, showcasing the features and benefits of the manufacturers' products. The position involves significant travel, with a minimum of three days on the road each week and at least five planned meetings per day. You will need to manage inventory, stock, and display opportunities on the wholesaler side, while also providing technical support and assistance to customers regarding product selection, installation, and operation. Maintaining accurate records of sales activity in the company CRM is essential, as is collaboration with other members of the sales team and various departments to ensure customer satisfaction and product success. Training and support will be provided, along with encouragement to participate in marketing industry events and sales coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers including market channel contractors, wholesalers, engineers, architects, and building owners.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers highlighting the features and benefits of the manufacturer's products.
  • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities including construction projects, equipment replacements, large size contractor business, and retrofit projects on the contractor side.
  • Manage inventory, stocking, and store display opportunities on the wholesaler side.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers regarding product selection, installation, and operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity including customer contact information, sales leads, and sales orders in company CRM.
  • Collaborate with other members of the sales team, as well as engineering, customer service, and product development teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product success.

Requirements

  • Sales experience in HVAC/R, Plumbing, or Electrical Supply House is preferred but not necessary for the right individual.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are essential for building relationships and closing sales.
  • Self-generative with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in conducting product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems for maintaining sales activity records.

Benefits

  • Starting compensation of $50,000 plus car allowance of $320 and phone expenses of $50 per month.
