About the position

The Territory Manager for Industrial Sales is responsible for managing a $2M territory in Southern California, focusing on diverse market segments including Metal Fabrication, Aerospace, Cutting Tools, and Oil and Gas. The role involves account management, sales, and servicing a range of medium to large distribution and end-user customers, with significant growth potential identified in the territory. The candidate will collaborate closely with traditional industrial and national distribution partners to develop and execute cost-saving activities and growth plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a $2M geographic territory comprised of medium to large distribution and end-user customers.
  • Develop and execute account management strategies to grow sales in the territory.
  • Cultivate relationships with Welding, Industrial, and Construction Distribution partners.
  • Conduct training presentations and demonstrations for distributor salespeople.
  • Plan and review target account growth plans regularly.
  • Document cost-saving activities and opportunities for development.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office software and contact management database for data analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Proven sales and marketing skills with a track record of success.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical, negotiating, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in working with distributor salespeople and conducting training.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Metal Fabrication, Aerospace, Cutting Tool, or Oil and Gas markets.
  • Familiarity with data mining and analysis tools.
