About the position

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Territory Manager - Inside Sales to join our team located in Allentown, PA. The Inside Sales Territory Manager (TM) plays a crucial role in supporting the sales teams by performing various analytical tasks, engaging with accounts, conducting research, and generating reports. This position is essential for enhancing the sales process and ensuring that the sales teams have the necessary information and support to succeed in their efforts. The TM will be responsible for researching, analyzing, disseminating, and maintaining market intelligence information from a variety of third-party data sources on prospect accounts. This information is vital for understanding market trends and identifying potential clients, which ultimately enhances sales success. In addition to market research, the TM will qualify prospective leads prior to account assignment, ensuring that the sales team focuses on the most promising opportunities. The role also involves preparing analysis, agendas, content, materials, and follow-up documentation to assist sales teams in exploring client needs during the sales process. The TM will process quotes on behalf of the sales team and maintain and analyze all won/lost information to provide insights into sales performance. The TM will provide ongoing support for existing customers by answering questions, tracing order status or product shipments, and resolving any issues that may arise. This includes facilitating no-charge orders, processing credit memos, and acting as a facilitator for return and repair issues. The TM will also research trade-in allowances and eligibility for warranties, provide information regarding order status and stock availability, and order product literature or sales information as requested by the sales team. The position requires working under general supervision and applying diversified procedures and standards, completing non-routine assignments that may require a longer timeframe, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required / 4-year technical degree preferred
  • 2 years of industry experience preferred
  • Prior Sales experience is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and work under pressure
