About the position

Riverstone Logistics (RLX) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Territory Manager to oversee multiple logistical operations associated with the delivery of customer merchandise. The Territory Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that all deliveries are completed within established time frames while managing a team of employees and collaborating with contract carriers. This position requires a strong focus on operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and effective communication. The Territory Manager will utilize route planning software to create efficient delivery routes and will be responsible for resolving any issues that arise with customers, vendors, or residential consumers throughout the day. In addition to managing logistical operations, the Territory Manager will also be responsible for developing and mentoring staff to help them reach their goals. This includes training employees on company policies and procedures, as well as carrying out managerial responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, and addressing performance issues. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying problem areas and implementing solutions to improve operational efficiencies. The Territory Manager will also ensure compliance with corporate warehouse policies and procedures while supervising a team of up to five direct reports. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, along with exceptional communication and time management skills. The position may require regional travel and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Responsibilities

  • Manage logistical operations associated with delivery of customer merchandise.
  • Use route planning software to create efficient delivery routes.
  • Provide information for contract carriers performing delivery services.
  • Resolve customer, vendor and residential consumer issues throughout the day.
  • Identify problem areas to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure that all deliveries are completed within established time frame.
  • Confirm contract carriers complying with contract and industry expectations.
  • Allocate and request additional resources as needed.
  • Exercise independent judgement with respect to operational needs.
  • Develop and mentor staff to reach goals; train staff on company policies and procedures.
  • Carry out managerial responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, disciplining and resolving issues.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate warehouse policies, procedures and programs.
  • Oversee the supervision of up to 5 direct reports within the region.
  • Supervise employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints/resolving problems.
  • Collaborate with fellow peers on daily functions including work allocation, training, and problem resolution.

Requirements
