In this role, the Territory Manager will generate sales and rentals through direct customer contact, which includes preparing quotations, presenting offers, and negotiating transactions. The manager will also be tasked with submitting monthly expense reports and sales summaries, as well as transaction reports and National Account call reports. Participation in company meetings and maintaining up-to-date product knowledge is essential for success in this position. The Territory Manager will maintain a comprehensive customer call/mail list and will be responsible for submitting credit applications for new customers. Another key aspect of the role involves coordinating on-site demonstrations of equipment, which includes arranging transportation and presenting the machine to potential users. The Territory Manager will also oversee the delivery of new machines, ensuring they arrive on time and are introduced to the appropriate personnel. Furthermore, the manager will develop and submit annual sales forecasts and marketing plans, and will be expected to negotiate with customers to resolve any complaints that may arise. This position requires a proactive approach to surveying applications and submitting requests for TM&R rates, making it a dynamic and engaging role within the company.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years successful outside sales experience; experience in heavy equipment industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated sales ability.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
