The role requires a sales-driven professional who can analyze market trends, foster relationships, and exceed sales targets while managing a defined territory effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the territory's business strategy, aligning partners around actionable plans to achieve business goals.
  • Collaborate with territory partners to create efficient routing strategies and orchestrate a seamless customer engagement process.
  • Take ownership of the patient onboarding process, ensuring successful completion through direct efforts or coordination with teammates.
  • Exceed sales targets while driving market share growth within the assigned geographic area through proactive business management.
  • Execute field sales initiatives with precision, aligning with company standards and innovative promotional practices.
  • Leverage a consultative approach to share industry knowledge and foster trust with healthcare providers.
  • Build knowledge of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes to sell with clinical credibility and connect with the diabetes community.
  • Present Insulet products and differentiate them from competitors, addressing customer needs with strategic insights.
  • Analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions for provider and patient issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality customer onboarding and training.
  • Cultivate relationships with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to drive positive outcomes.
  • Leverage data sources to drive informed business decisions and shape strategic actions for territory performance.
  • Maintain and update data systems like Salesforce to capture territory-specific insights.
  • Conduct administrative responsibilities while adhering to budgetary guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience in B2B or a related field (healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical device, or diabetes).
  • Strong network of established professional relationships with endocrinologists and primary care providers specializing in diabetes (preferred).
  • Ability to set, communicate, and execute territory business strategy.
  • Ability to execute sales and marketing plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills with the ability to build and nurture relationships.
  • Team-oriented with proven ability to orchestrate activities in a collaborative setting.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and take appropriate action.
  • Proficiency with technology, including large data systems and personal devices like insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors.
