About the position

The Sales position at Edwards Lifesciences focuses on developing the Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) Congenital Therapy market within a designated territory. The role involves building relationships with medical professionals, providing guidance on innovative medical technologies, and ensuring high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in interventional cardiology and sales to drive product penetration and establish a strong presence in the Congenital Therapy market.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire a thorough working knowledge of the products/therapies and procedures.
  • Develop an extensive understanding of all applications of the products.
  • Establish customer contact and strengthen relationships to create and protect THV business.
  • Drive penetration of THV Pulmonic products in the given territory.
  • Establish a recognizable presence in the Congenital Therapy market for Edwards THV.
  • Create new business opportunities with new customers in the Congenital Therapy space.
  • Coordinate activities from site selection to independence, working closely with the Education team.
  • Present patient selection to both Cardiologists and Surgeons.
  • Accountable for achieving sales targets.
  • Monitor sales activity, plan, and prepare forecasts by account, product, and therapy for the territory.
  • Ensure customer records are up to date.
  • Execute the Edwards marketing and product launch strategy.
  • Responsible for inventory management including ordering, shipment, swap & scrap.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of five (5) years medical device sales experience, with three years specifically selling coronary or peripheral stents or other interventional devices.
  • Previous experience in a sales or clinical support role, launching a new technology.
  • Track record of success in the Congenital Therapy space.
  • A successful track record closing technical medical sales.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • The ability to travel up to 70%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to use and navigate technology (Microsoft Suite, Edwards Specific applications, SalesForce, etc.).
  • Expertise in catheter delivered technology and comfortable with hands-on clinician training.
  • Established network in the interventional cardiology market.
  • Expert clinical skills specifically in cardiac surgery or interventional cardiology.
  • Sales skillset that includes drive and self-motivation, strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to plan, organize, close, and deliver, and the capacity to work autonomously.
  • Flexibility to easily change roles between technical and sales requirements.
