About the position

The Territory Manager (Outside Sales Specialist) at Appy Medical is responsible for expanding the company's reach within the clinical community, focusing on continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin pump technology. This role involves conducting sales calls, building relationships with healthcare providers, and collaborating with medical device manufacturers to promote Appy Medical's services. The position requires a proactive approach to sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person and remote sales calls to clinician referral sources to educate healthcare professionals on Appy Medical's value proposition.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and medical device manufacturer sales teams to obtain patient referrals for CGM and insulin pump therapy.
  • Address and overcome customer concerns by demonstrating the value of Appy Medical's services and products.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with healthcare providers and medical device manufacturer sales associates.
  • Prospect and qualify potential clients using CRM systems and other channels.
  • Maintain accurate records in Appy Medical's CRM systems regarding client interactions and progress.
  • Attend customer meetings, events, and conventions to promote Appy Medical's business.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by resolving concerns in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with sales support and operations teams to drive service excellence.
  • Achieve individual and team sales targets for referrals and revenue.
  • Stay informed about CGM and insulin pump technology, competitor offerings, and healthcare trends.
  • Manage expenses within the territory budget and submit reports on time.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commissioned sales role, preferably in healthcare or medical device industry.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or relevant work experience as a substitute.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of the healthcare landscape and technology's role in patient care.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Passion for making a positive impact on patient lives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a diabetes-focused medical device company or Durable Medical Equipment (DME) distributor.
