About the position

The Territory Manager at Pace, Inc. is responsible for managing outside sales in Wisconsin, focusing on promoting and selling outdoor power equipment to independent dealers. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with dealers, achieving sales targets, and providing product demonstrations and training. The position requires significant travel within the territory and occasional overnight trips for meetings and conventions.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes, sells, and secures orders by communicating with existing and prospective dealers through various channels.
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current and prospective dealers to generate new business.
  • Demonstrates products and services to dealers and end users, assisting them in selecting suitable equipment.
  • Monitors competition and maintains competitive comparisons by gathering information on pricing and products.
  • Recognizes and addresses training opportunities within dealerships' sales, parts, and service departments.
  • Maintains product and technical knowledge by attending educational service and sales schools.
  • Keeps abreast of market conditions and promotional trends by reviewing professional publications and participating in associations.
  • Prioritizes time and activities by studying existing and potential sales volumes of dealers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 to 5 years of field sales experience or equivalent coursework in business or marketing.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to meet sales goals.
  • Ability to prospect and close sales effectively.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to maintain client relationships.
  • Motivated for sales with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous outdoor power equipment sales experience with relatable product knowledge.
