About the position

The Territory Manager for Transcatheter Heart Valve at Edwards Lifesciences is responsible for developing and expanding the THV market within a designated territory. This role involves building strong relationships with medical professionals, providing guidance on innovative heart valve replacement technologies, and ensuring that patients receive high-quality care. The position requires a blend of advanced technical knowledge, sales expertise, and leadership skills to drive product penetration and achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire thorough working knowledge of products/therapies and procedures, developing an extensive understanding of all their applications.
  • Establish customer contact and strengthen relationships to create and protect THV business.
  • Drive penetration of THV products in the given territory.
  • Create new business with new customers.
  • Coordinate activities from site selection to independence, working closely with the Education team according to the Sales & Education strategy.
  • Present patient selection to both Cardiologists and Surgeons.
  • Be accountable for achieving sales targets.
  • Monitor sales activity, planning and preparing forecasts by account, product, and therapy for the given territory.
  • Propose expenses for meetings and/or customer activities including Proctor visits.
  • Ensure customer records are up to date.
  • Execute the Edwards marketing and product launch strategy.
  • Manage inventory including ordering, shipment, swap & scrap.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of five (5) years medical device sales experience, with three years specifically selling coronary or peripheral stents or other interventional devices.
  • Previous experience in a sales or clinical support role, launching a new technology.
  • A successful track record closing technical medical sales.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • The ability to travel up to 50%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Expertise in catheter delivered technology and comfortable with hands-on clinician training.
  • Established network in the interventional cardiology market.
  • Expert clinical skills specifically in cardiac surgery or interventional cardiology.
  • Sales skill-set that includes drive and self-motivation, strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to plan, organize, close and deliver, and the capacity to work autonomously.
  • Flexibility to easily change roles between technical and sales requirements.
