About the position

The Territory Manager, Sales is responsible for promoting and executing sales strategies for Esperion's approved products within the Thousand Oaks, CA area. This role involves personal promotion, building relationships with healthcare providers, and ensuring compliance with company policies while achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual territory sales goals as approved by Esperion Commercial Leadership
  • Review performance metrics with RSM to ensure territory is achieving maximum sales results
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers in the assigned geography
  • Effectively promote and educate Health Care Providers (HCPs) on the use of Esperion products through various engagement methods
  • Analyze local market trends and monitor performance to maximize the appropriate use of Esperion products
  • Demonstrate successful use of sales and marketing tools to achieve business objectives
  • Maintain knowledge of Esperion product payor coverage to deliver against market access objectives
  • Attend local, regional, and national congresses to promote Esperion brands
  • Complete all administrative tasks accurately and timely, including sample inventory and expense management
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures and complete required compliance training
  • Establish and maintain effective communications among Regional Sales Managers and Territory Managers
  • Monitor consistency between Sales and Marketing efforts and ensure high standards for executing business initiatives
  • Work closely with sales leadership and Market Access to maximize pull-through from commercial and government payers
  • Maintain vendor credentialing requirements for access to customer locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology, Pre-med, or other STEM background)
  • 1 - 3 years of pharmaceutical or relevant sales experience, or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience calling on or working with Healthcare Professionals preferred but not required
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% including overnight stays for territory business and occasional meetings
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record that meets Esperion employment standards
  • Documented track record of consistent high performance in sales, academics, athletics, or similar endeavors
  • Desire to work in a start-up environment or experience in an entrepreneurial sales model
  • Ability to embrace a performance-driven and growth culture
  • Passionate about the mission and reputation of the Company
  • Demonstrated excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and work successfully with varied audiences, including customers and colleagues
  • Strong interpersonal and selling skills.
