About the position

The Territory Manager at Happy Floors is responsible for managing and growing sales within a designated territory, focusing on building relationships with existing customers and acquiring new accounts. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide effective solutions to customer needs. The position involves regular travel within the territory and requires the management of a pre-existing customer base while also targeting potential new clients.

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage and grow accounts in a specific territory.
  • Responsible for selling and distributing products.
  • Maintain close communication with manager and/or showroom staff, providing timely follow-ups on the showroom's requests.
  • Maintain constant communication with the manager about the performance of the accounts.
  • Understand customer's needs to provide real, effective solutions.
  • Open new accounts, servicing and expanding footprint in the showrooms.
  • Build and expand the business within the territory by calling and visiting potential customers.
  • Drive a box truck within the territory.
  • Set up displays and maintain displays based on specifications.
  • Maintain storage unit with a full inventory of samples, receives shipments, labeling, and storing samples.
  • Responsible for picking up returns as needed.
  • Fill out call reports daily.
  • File claims and possible job site visits.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Territory Manager.
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; field sales experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge in MS Office.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • This position requires a DOT Medical Certification Card.
  • Must be able to lift boxes or packages of up to 75 pounds.
