About the position

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations and supervising staff across various modalities, including x-ray, ultrasound, cardiac, and nursing. This role focuses on meeting productivity standards and ensuring the overall success of operations in the designated region. The position requires in-person presence and involves planning, directing, and coordinating activities while providing support and guidance to staff.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of all territory operations.
  • Review and implement changes to operations to improve staff and workflow.
  • Monitor staff equipment/vehicles performance and resolve issues as necessary.
  • Provide consistent support, guidance, and motivation to staff through various communication methods.
  • Act as a liaison between company staff and executive management.
  • Support and guide staff in troubleshooting and resolving technical, patient, or professional issues.
  • Orientate applicants and provide training to new employees on job requirements and policies.
  • Interview and source qualified job applicants for specified regions and modalities.
  • Counsel employees on unsatisfactory performance and work behavior.
  • Oversee and maintain staff retention, monitoring employees at risk of leaving.
  • Perform exams as necessary to maintain service levels.
  • Maintain, review, and approve time-off requests and work schedules for proper coverage.
  • Submit time records to HR for payroll processing in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with operation department managers for daily workflow execution.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and interactions.
  • Provide training on company policies and applicable modalities to the regional team.
  • Maintain documentation for staff radiation dosimetry reporting and distribution.
  • Provide continual education and support to staff for high-quality service.
  • Manage inventory levels for radiology staff and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage salaries and wages, including overtime, within budget limits.
  • Conduct client service visitations with account executives or independently.
  • Address and document customer service concerns with follow-up summaries to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with new and ongoing policies and procedures for staff.

  • Good judgment and decisiveness in actions.
  • Effective analytical ability and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Hunter mentality to build, grow, and develop assigned territory.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a long-term acute care setting, skilled nursing, or mobile environment preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Current state licensures in radiography or sonography preferred.
  • Current ARRT registration and/or ARDMS preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Graduate from an accredited program in radiography or sonography preferred.
