About the position

The Territory Representative for WA, OR, Northern CA, and Northern ID is responsible for building foundational knowledge of Ace programs and services to effectively support retailers. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to implement programs that maximize retail and wholesale sales. The representative will engage in training, establish relationships with retailers, and utilize technology to enhance sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in training activities to develop necessary knowledge and skills for sales and growth assignments.
  • Execute tasks related to key performance drivers and growth plans to assist retailers in achieving their goals.
  • Master the Ace Way of Retailing to train existing owners on improving retail metrics.
  • Establish relationships to build credibility and increase purchase loyalty with Ace Hardware.
  • Submit and monitor call reports, sales information, and travel/work expenses using Salesforce.
  • Develop and execute sales call cycles and plans with assigned retailers.
  • Increase retail and wholesale sales on a store basis after 90 days in position.
  • Utilize Ace Retail Technology applications to assist store owners and managers with recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of comparable work experience in retail management, sales, or marketing.
  • Understanding of basic retail operations and business fundamentals.
  • Ability to influence retailers and drive execution of programs in a consultative role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Technology adaptive to embrace Ace's Retail Technology platform.
  • Self-confident and self-motivated with good presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel overnight.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in B2B sales or retail management.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
