Design That Shapes Living! Exciting opportunity - located in Cincinnati, Dayton, or Columbus Ohio area to be a Territory Sales Manager in the tile and flooring industry! Competitive quarterly incentive available! As a Territory Sales Manager, you will develop and foster business in your assigned territory or with a designated customer base. You will collaborate with regional and corporate sales team members to maximize and grow revenue and profits. Your essential functions will include developing and maintaining client and prospective client relationships to ensure market growth and promotion of all products. You will also be responsible for achieving assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets by implementing appropriate sales strategies and techniques to target the right customers. In this role, you will conduct effective sales and product presentations to customers, educating them to ensure products are understood and used effectively. You will proactively seek to improve your product knowledge by interacting with internal and external subject matter experts and attending sales/training meetings. Identifying and quickly responding to competitive threats within the territory is crucial, as is communicating market intelligence and competitor activity promptly to your Regional Manager. You will develop and maintain good customer relationships through personal visits and all other means of contact, resolving customer complaints in a professional and timely manner in accordance with Company Policy. Additionally, you will be expected to file all required reports in a timely manner and participate in trade associations, which may include commitments outside of normal business hours. This position requires a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, excellent verbal and written skills, and a strong track record in sales growth. You should be highly motivated and able to efficiently function in a self-directed work environment, demonstrating a history of fulfilling commitments and providing precise, timely responses to customers and staff inquiries. Strong character, unquestionable integrity, and a fearless approach in pursuing new business are essential. You will need to effectively make presentations, lead discussions, and negotiate, showcasing strong closing skills and organization and time management skills. Your commitment to ensuring Virginia Tile Company is appropriately represented in its customers' product offerings is vital.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain client and prospective client relationships to ensure market growth and promotion of all products.
  • Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement appropriate sales strategies and techniques to target appropriate customers.
  • Conduct effective sales and product presentations to customers.
  • Educate customers to ensure products are understood and used effectively.

  • Attend sales/training meetings.

  • File all required reports in a timely manner.
  • Participate in trade associations, such as HBA, NKBA, IIDA, ASID, and others, which could include some commitments outside of normal business hours.
  • Be current and active in job tracking and call notes through VTC customer management programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience in successful sales practices and methods.
  • Minimum 2 years outside business-to-business sales with a proven track record of success.
  • One year of experience in a customer-facing sales role (business to business).
  • Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance.
  • Good Driving record, able to meet Virginia Tile driving qualifications.
  • Well-groomed with professional business attire and appearance.
  • Must be able to transport company product in personal vehicle.
  • Adequate and dependable transportation for daily travel to and from customer site.
  • Must be able to drive throughout the workday.
