About the position

The Territory Sales Representative will focus on educating clients and specifying products related to municipal water tank development and construction. This remote position requires extensive travel across the Upstate New York to Boston market, with a strong emphasis on new business development and relationship management with civil engineers and municipalities.

Responsibilities

  • Educate clients on municipal water tank products and specifications.
  • Visit engineers and municipalities in the assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate the market.
  • Build and manage relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Identify growth opportunities and potential strategic partnerships.
  • Prepare proposals and conduct presentations to engineers and owners.
  • Attend trade shows, particularly the Florida AWWA fall event.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of sales experience, preferably in the water industry.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of engineering and construction as they relate to sales.
  • Experience with valves, pumps, metering, or control system sales is an asset.
  • Experience with high-end engineering firms and technical presentations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in storage-based systems sales.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
