In this role, you will become a trusted advisor to Channel Partners and Electrical Contractors across various market segments, influencing and guiding the design of electrical distribution systems ranging from small to large scale. Your responsibilities will include solution sales of both merchandised and engineered-to-order equipment that is essential for distributing, monitoring, automating, and controlling electrical networks. You will connect Channel Partners with cutting-edge offers, applications, and tools that enable their commercial success. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with teams across Inside Sales, Project Management, and Business Development to deliver solutions that meet customer needs effectively. Your role will also involve interpreting electrical plans and specifications to create winning proposals, driving market strategy, and exceeding sales and profitability metrics to support Schneider Electric's growth ambitions. You will communicate our software, cloud analytics, and services story to channel partners and contractors, guiding them on their digital journey. This position requires a proactive approach to learning and adapting to the evolving energy landscape, which is increasingly decentralized, digitalized, and focused on sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Become a trusted advisor with Channel Partners and Electrical Contractors across several market segments.
  • Influence and guide the design of small to large electrical distribution systems.
  • Engage in solution sales of merchandised and engineered-to-order equipment for electrical networks.
  • Connect Channel Partners to cutting-edge offers, applications, and tools for commercial success.
  • Consult with various management and sales teams to promote Schneider Electric innovations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that solve customer needs.
  • Interpret electrical plans and specifications to develop winning proposals.
  • Drive market strategy and customer demand through multi-layered account plans.
  • Exceed sales and profitability metrics to assist in achieving Schneider Electric's growth ambitions.
  • Communicate Schneider Electric's software, cloud analytics, and services story to channel partners.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant sales experience preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, or Communications is preferred.
  • Experience in electrical distribution or energy management industries.
  • Experience selling through distribution and to trade professionals.
  • Familiarity with low voltage and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, controls, or energy management technologies.
  • Experience with Square D Power Distribution Equipment preferred.
  • Experience with consultative sales methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers of various technical abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with consultative sales methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Square D Power Distribution Equipment such as busway, panelboards, transformers, and switchboards.
