About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining customer relationships, meeting sales targets, and ensuring sales growth within a specific geographic area. This role involves devising effective sales strategies, analyzing data to identify trends, addressing customer concerns, and recognizing new sales opportunities. The Territory Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding business within their assigned territory. This position requires routine sales travel to visit both new and existing customers, allowing the manager to acquire and retain clients while ascertaining their current needs and generating additional sales. In addition to direct sales activities, the Territory Sales Manager is expected to provide exceptional customer support by responding to inquiries and requests promptly. They will present products to prospective customers in both small and large group settings, ensuring that all presentations are engaging and informative. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer information in databases is essential, as is the ability to pull and reference system reports for additional sales opportunities. The manager will also be responsible for the timely preparation of all expense reports and assigned projects, keeping management and sales team members informed of all relevant activities. Participation in industry and promotional events, such as traveling trade shows, is also a key responsibility, as these events are vital for cultivating customer relationships and expanding the company's market presence. The role demands a proactive approach to sales and customer engagement, with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Routine sales travel to visit new and existing customers to acquire and retain customers, ascertain current needs and generate additional sales
  • Identify and properly qualify new business opportunities using available resources
  • Provide customer support by responding to customer inquiries and requests
  • Present products in small and large groups to prospective customers
  • Ensure that databases are current and updated with accurate customer information
  • Routinely pull and reference system reports for additional sales opportunities
  • Execute timely preparation of all expense reports and assigned projects
  • Keep management and sales team members informed of all relevant activity
  • Perform other sales duties as assigned from time to time by management
  • Participate in industry and promotional events such as traveling trade shows to cultivate customer relationships

Requirements

  • Must have experience meeting with customers to address concerns and help provide solutions (B2B sales)
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue in field sales
  • Bachelor's degree, preferable and or 3-5 years of B2B technical sales experience
  • Self-starter; motivated, team focused, and results driven
  • Strong presentation, organizational, and time management skills
  • Having proficient knowledge and familiarity on Salesforce is a plus
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
  • Strong technical skills: able to present technical concepts; provide customers with hands-on technique using our products
  • Ability to travel throughout the United States and Europe
