About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Louisiana-Pacific Corporation is responsible for driving sales growth and product placement within a designated territory. This role involves collaborating with builders, contractors, and dealers to align sales strategies and meet growth objectives for specialty product lines. The position requires a strong understanding of the building industry, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate complex sales processes to achieve significant revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Create sales growth and demand for LP Specialty building products at the builder/contractor and dealer level.
  • Align the channel to pull through sales for LP distribution customers.
  • Manage an average annual sales territory budget of $10M.
  • Prospect for new customers and negotiate through a complex sales process.
  • Partner with National Account Managers, District Sales Managers, and Channel Managers to meet common sales growth targets.
  • Provide installation expertise and warranty information to builders and dealers.
  • Increase and implement LP product placement with the top 25 builders in major MSAs within the territory.
  • Establish relationships with top installation contractors and building inspectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • High level knowledge of local building codes and practices.
  • Deep understanding of building science.
  • Excellent business relationships with regional and local builders.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience working with multiple supply chain channels.
  • Thorough knowledge of LP Specialty Products and their intended use and installation.
