About the position

BlueLinx is expanding their Sales team! The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing the sales for our Box Store Customers in Western Washington and Oregon (along the I-5 corridor). The right individual for this opportunity will need to have a HUNTER mentality and be driven to grow our relationships. The Territory Sales Manager must be comfortable calling on previous customers, finding new revenue streams, identifying new business, and supporting already established clients. Relationship building is the key to success in this role. This position will have a solid base with a commission structure, allowing for significant earning potential based on performance. Responsibilities

  • Identifies new sales opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Maximizes sales efforts by focusing sales time on the largest most profitable opportunities.
  • Improves profitability, product penetration, and product mix with all customers.
  • Qualifies sales opportunities through market/customer research and teaming with inside sales representatives.
  • Develops sales solutions and competitive pricing strategies.
  • Communicates value proposition to customers.
  • Proposes sales solutions to customers and reevaluates solutions where necessary.
  • Closes sales opportunities by gaining purchase orders and executing all order fulfillment procedures.
  • Provides outstanding customer service and post-sales satisfaction facilitating long-term relationships for repeat business with customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience as a sales driver.
  • Ability to manage an established book of business and increase partnerships.
  • Building Material knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong planning, organization, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Solid knowledge in account management, scheduling, customer support and service, product knowledge, product pricing, sales support, warehousing, distribution, transportation, and records.
  • Self-motivated and driven individual with a 'Hunter' mentality.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite Software and relevant sales systems technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • MS / MBA is a plus.
  • Market knowledge and product experience.
  • Consultative selling skills.
