About the position

The Territory Sales Manager/Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and support for NewFields Ag Sales and Service in the Crop Production sector across the assigned territory of Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. This role involves extensive travel to meet with agriculture dealers, distributors, and farmer customers, requiring strong agronomic knowledge and sales expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with prospective agriculture dealers, distributors, and farmer customers to drive sales growth.
  • Recruit and train new Dealers/Distribution partners.
  • Manage product Sales Plans & Projections to achieve sales objectives and commercial goals.
  • Develop marketing plans for the Wisconsin/Northern Illinois sales territory.
  • Conduct periodic sales training meetings for all Dealers and Distributors.
  • Assist in the development and execution of a Marketing Plan for the Company and Sales Team.
  • Utilize CRM system and HubSpot for tracking and reporting sales activities.
  • Conduct on-farm/business sales visits and attend field days and meetings.
  • Address marketplace concerns and product performance issues promptly.
  • Participate in and assist with all required Company events and planning.
  • Coordinate Demonstration Activities of Products & Plot Work.
  • Assist with regional and national Trade Shows, including strategy and implementation.
  • Build and maintain relationships within Professional Ag organizations.
  • Assist with credit inquiries, accounts receivables collections, and territory account settlements.
  • Timely submission of paperwork, including reimbursement forms and sales reporting.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in dairy (Preferred)
  • 1 year of experience in agronomy (Required)
  • 2 years of experience in agricultural sales (Required)
  • 2 years of experience in territory management (Preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in recruiting (Preferred)
  • Ability to relocate to Illinois before starting work (Required)
  • Willingness to travel 75% (Required)
