About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for Capital Medical Equipment is responsible for promoting and selling products and services within a designated territory. This role requires a strong understanding of sales processes, lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will be personable, professional, and tech-savvy, capable of conducting product demonstrations and attending trade shows to showcase offerings. The position involves frequent travel to meet clients and maintain relationships, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Travel within your region to meet with clients
  • Acquire new customers by reaching out to leads
  • Demonstrate new products to doctors and other health professionals by conducting demos
  • Maintain relationships with new and existing clients
  • Take orders from customers
  • Attend trade shows to promote company products and services
  • Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects
  • Research customer's individual or business purchase needs
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with customers
  • Continually meet or exceed sales targets by persuading customers to purchase company products and services
  • Adjust sales tactics based on tests and new insights in the field
  • Resolve customer complaints and queries
  • Prepare professional, complete, concise and accurate reports, proposals, booking packages, and other documentation as required
  • Develop and implement territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis
  • Complete market research and monitor competitor activity
  • Install products and provide in-service and training to customers
  • Maintain documentation of customer contact and account updates

Requirements

  • 3 years' experience as a sales representative or similar role
  • Medical sales experience is a plus
  • Currently live near a major airport and can travel frequently within assigned territory
  • Product presentations, persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Tech savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office and sales management software
  • Ability to meet deadlines and financial goal minimums
  • Patience to deal with customer issues and calls that do not end in a sale
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Valid driver's license required
  • +1 year of ophthalmic equipment sales or laser experience is a plus
