The Regional Sales Manager for CAT (Northeast) is responsible for creating and implementing strategic plans to enhance Terex sales with a Genie National Account. This role involves building a revenue base by leading and facilitating the execution of the sales plan in collaboration with Genie Team Members. The program encompasses various elements including a communication plan, pricing strategies, marketing and sales support, training programs, and relationship management. The manager will be tasked with developing and executing a strategic plan for the account, which includes creating a sales plan aimed at growing sales in existing locations, expanding into new locations, and introducing new products to customers. In this position, the Regional Sales Manager will analyze the sales plan against actual results and make necessary adjustments to ensure performance goals are met. Conducting in-depth market research and competitor analysis will be crucial for informing strategic decisions. The manager will assist customers with business planning and the development of sales forecasts, working diligently to secure sales orders and achieve revenue and profit goals. Identifying new opportunities with the National Account and understanding the Genie Value proposition will be key components of the role. The ability to adapt strategies in response to changing market dynamics is essential for staying ahead of the competition. The role also requires advanced knowledge of equipment financing programs, working closely with Terex Financial Services (TFS) to develop long-term financing strategies that ensure customer success with both Terex and Genie products. The Regional Sales Manager will coordinate all aspects of business development, including training, marketing, communication, sales support, and coverage at customer events and trade shows. Financial responsibility includes leading the development and implementation of innovative strategies that align with Genie Core values, managing budgets, and ensuring profitability goals are met. Customer relationship management is a significant aspect of this role, requiring the manager to solicit feedback from customers to ensure their needs are met and to be responsive to inquiries and requests for support. Performance management and leadership are also critical, as the manager will measure and communicate the impact of strategic initiatives to stakeholders and senior leadership, inspiring cross-functional teams to align with strategic objectives. Regular reporting on account performance, forecasts, budgets, and territory management will be necessary to monitor progress and facilitate requests from customers across various Terex departments.
