About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for the sales and promotion of Burndy products through distribution channels to end-users and specifying influences, with the goal of attaining assigned sales quotas within the designated territory. This position covers Northern California, specifically the greater Fresno, Bakersfield, and Central Valley areas up to Paso Robles, CA. The expected pay for this role ranges from $95,000 to $115,000 annually, with eligibility for bonuses based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, the position includes eligibility for the company car program. In this role, the Territory Sales Manager will manage an assigned territory to ensure effective, efficient, and economical use of available time and company assets to achieve sales objectives. This includes conducting sales calls on distributors and potential users/consumers of Burndy products, training distributor personnel to sell and promote Hubbell products, and managing distributor inventory to maintain proper stock levels that service the trading area while maximizing the return on investment. The manager will also maintain accurate account records using TMS/Electronic TMS and conduct sales training, both internal and external, as directed by field management. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for conducting formal sales presentations to various groups, distributors, and end-users, and will communicate with end-users through various channels, including letters, telephone calls, small group meetings, and trade shows. Building rapport and strong relationships with distributors, end-users, and specifying influences is crucial. The manager will also cover open territories as assigned by the District Manager and serve as a customer information center for literature requests, catalog requests, technical details, drawings, and cross-reference information.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • College degree required and 3+ years of related industry sales experience, or a High School diploma with 5+ years of related industry sales experience.
  • Contractor sales experience is a plus.
  • Industry experience required.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
