About the position

Durabook Americas is a leading manufacturer of rugged computing solutions, including the DURABOOK line of notebooks, tablets, and all-in-one computers. The company is seeking a Territory Sales Manager for the Central territories to develop and grow the sales of its Durabook line of rugged mobile computing solutions and accessories. This position is crucial for expanding the company's market presence and driving revenue growth in the assigned territory. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for selecting, recruiting, and onboarding new partners that align with the company's objectives. This role requires a highly skilled individual who can effectively communicate the Durabook Value Proposition to both partners and end-user customers. The Territory Sales Manager will develop an annual business plan that supports the assigned territory and revenue goals. This plan will include targeted partners, verticals, positioning, and high-level marketing efforts. The individual will set and track sales targets that align with company objectives and will be responsible for resolving conflicts and providing timely solutions to partners and customers. Representing Durabook at partner events, activities, and conferences is also a key responsibility of this role. The successful candidate must be able to work closely with partners to uncover opportunities, qualify them, and formulate and implement action plans to develop them into projects. Taking ownership of the business and utilizing Durabook's resources effectively is essential. The Territory Sales Manager will maintain an opportunity pipeline that is at least four times larger than their revenue and margin targets at all times. Conducting joint sales calls with partners to visit customers and discuss specific opportunities is a priority, as is the ability to work directly with end-user customers when appropriate. The role also involves responsible management of company resources related to travel and ongoing expenses, as well as working with distributor partners to manage pricing, inventory, and supply for specific opportunities. Gathering feedback from partners and customers to relay to the Product Development, Product Management, and Engineering teams for continual improvement is also part of the job. Finally, the Territory Sales Manager will implement and manage sales and marketing programs for partners, including sales incentives, floor days, demo programs, digital marketing, contests, and tradeshows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in a Partner or Channel Sales Role
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, science, or engineering
  • Must live within territory (Central)
  • Ability to travel up to 65%
  • Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated successful track record in sales
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal networking skills
  • Strong written/oral communication and negotiating skills
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically
  • Ability to establish required partner engagement and presence
