About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is a professional sales role responsible for driving profitable revenue of fence materials within a designated market area. This position focuses on servicing existing customers while also acquiring new accounts, utilizing a range of Barrette Outdoor Living Fencing brands and products. The role requires a consultative approach to sales, leveraging industry expertise to grow the business and create market demand through presentations and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales revenue and profitability targets within assigned territory.
  • Work consultatively as a product, industry, and brand expert with prospects and customers.
  • Manage a large portfolio of existing accounts while adding new distribution and contractor business.
  • Travel within a multi-state territory to target and acquire new customers and develop existing markets.
  • Create and attend customer events, tradeshows, or other events to develop brand and product awareness.
  • Generate market demand for products through daily presentations to contractors.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline of specific sales opportunities to sell more products to existing customers and acquire new customers.
  • Collaborate with the inside sales team on customer order fulfillment and satisfaction.
  • Work with product teams on the rollout of new products and solutions for the customer base.
  • Develop market pricing strategies with product/business teams to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in fencing or building materials industry.
  • Knowledge or ability to assist customers in designing and quoting custom-build fence or railing projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
