About the position

As a Territory Sales Manager at Option Care Health, you will play a pivotal role in managing the development and execution of sales, marketing, and business development activities under the guidance of the Regional Sales Director, Health Systems Solutions (RSD, HSS). Your primary objective will be to exceed revenue and gross margin targets for your assigned reporting group. This involves identifying growth opportunities within local practices, hospitals, and health systems, and collaborating with other stakeholders within Option Care to drive success. You will lead a team that includes Account Executives, Care Transition Specialists, and Care Transition Coordinators, ensuring that strategic account plans are executed effectively to deliver consistent revenue, margin, and referral growth. In this role, you will actively engage in account management and business development efforts, modeling and teaching desired behaviors to your team. You will partner with operations to resolve customer service issues, ensuring high-quality service and ongoing growth. Your responsibilities will include driving sales by developing market growth plans, setting goals, and creating sales forecasts for each assigned territory. You will also assist in the development and implementation of promotional activities, ensuring alignment with national business unit objectives. As a leader, you will develop your team by coaching them in creating and delivering sales presentations and leading consultative sales discussions. You will maintain strong relationships with branch management to ensure that sales efforts are supported and aligned with branch capabilities. Additionally, you will monitor competitors and industry trends to develop effective sales plans, providing productivity analysis and feedback to your team on performance with key customers. Your expertise in local market dynamics and complex disease states will be crucial in coaching your team to achieve a high level of competency. You will also be responsible for staffing and resource utilization, including hiring, performance reviews, and training. Identifying opportunities and developing relationships with alliance partners will be essential to increase business in your territory. Compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements will be a key aspect of your role, as will delegating work and holding your team accountable for focusing on growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a clinical field, or high school diploma with 5 years of related sales experience.
  • 1-2 years of previous business-to-business healthcare/medical related sales leadership experience.
  • Experience in analyzing and reporting sales data to identify issues and trends.
  • Experience using and teaching time management skills such as prioritizing and organizing projects.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA in Business Administration with at least 4 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience.
  • Prior experience selling strategic solutions to hospitals and health systems.
  • Infusion/health care service experience in therapeutic areas such as anti-infective, nutrition, immunology, oncology, or transplant.
  • Basic understanding of billing and reimbursement procedures for hospitals and medical offices.
  • One year experience directly managing people including hiring and developing staff.
