About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Continental Battery Systems is responsible for enhancing customer relationships, increasing sales volume and profitability, and expanding the customer base within a designated territory. This role requires a proactive approach to customer engagement, regular reporting, and collaboration with the sales team to achieve business objectives. The position emphasizes customer service excellence and the ability to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Improve customer and potential customer relationships.
  • Grow profit margin and sales value and volume with current customers.
  • Expand sales by obtaining and developing new customers within an assigned territory.
  • Support the development of the sales team.
  • Perform regular and accurate reporting to support sales planning and analysis activities.
  • Prepare visual presentations, written quotations, and negotiations.
  • Record successful processes and procedures required to carry out all functions.
  • Perform occasional deliveries to support customer relationships.
  • Manage and replenish consignments.
  • Maintain eligibility for commission by working outside the office 60% or more of the time.

Requirements

  • 1 year of administrative experience (preferred).
  • 3 years of outside sales experience (required).
  • 1 year of experience in the battery industry (preferred).
  • Valid Driver's License (required).
  • Ability to relocate to Cottage Grove, WI before starting work (required).
