About the position

The Territory Manager is a vital member of the field sales team at our company, focusing on the sale of Animal Health products to beef and dairy producers, veterinarians, and nutritionists. This role involves understanding customer needs, executing sales strategies, and building long-term relationships with key accounts in the Texas Panhandle and New Mexico. The Territory Manager will work independently and collaboratively with partners to drive sales growth and ensure customer satisfaction through technical innovations and value delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute key strategies and tactics to accelerate sales within assigned accounts.
  • Manage the Livestock Intelligence Monitoring product portfolio and provide on-site sales support.
  • Implement Key Account Management (KAM) principles, including creating and maintaining account plans.
  • Coordinate activities to support account growth, communicating frequently with sales and technical support teams.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence to Sales and Marketing Leadership.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with executive and mid-level leadership within assigned accounts.
  • Present Livestock Intelligence Monitoring products and business solutions to support account needs.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions and implement contractual agreements to achieve financial results.

Requirements

  • A four-year college degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales, Sales Management, or Marketing roles in the agricultural field.
  • Current knowledge of the US dairy industry.
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work with dealers and distributors.
  • Demonstrated ability to build business relationships internally and externally.
  • Experience in developing and implementing account plans.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial and business metrics.
  • Ability to identify, develop, and maintain strategic accounts.
  • History of sound decision-making and innovative thinking.
  • Ability to balance Livestock Monitoring needs with customer needs.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Superior organizational, analytical, and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the dairy industry and technology space.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
