About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Rinnai America Corporation is responsible for expanding the company's market share in the Denver and Northern Colorado region. This role involves creating and executing sales strategies for both residential and commercial programs, managing relationships with plumbing contractors, and ensuring alignment with distribution partners. The position requires significant travel within the territory to achieve sales targets and develop market opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets, strategies, and tactics for the assigned territory.
  • Develop and grow sales in the Repair and Replace segment.
  • Develop and grow sales with new construction builders and plumbing contractors.
  • Provide product and installation training to plumbing contractors as needed.
  • Implement pricing, discounts, advertising, and programs approved by the Director of Sales.
  • Manage relationships with distribution partners in the territory.
  • Travel efficiently within the assigned territory to meet sales targets.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of progress and set achievement milestones.
  • Provide product knowledge training for distributor sales teams.
  • Define, plan, and execute plumber alignment strategies.
  • Create localized plumber conversion programs for responsible MSAs.
  • Build and execute presentation data to transition builders and plumbers to tankless systems.
  • Maintain contact with distributors and sales outlets to support the supply chain.
  • Utilize CRM to manage all sales funnel activities.
  • Build relationships with strategic plumber partners and regional management.
  • Monitor and analyze field sales reports and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in preparing annual and monthly sales forecasts and targets.
  • Conduct commercial job site visits to assist in system commissioning.
  • Resolve customer complaints and dealer issues in a timely manner.
  • Support in identifying and addressing field product performance issues.
  • Provide monthly reports on training, competitive intelligence, and product requirements.
  • Manage plumber contracts and programming, and process workflows for field-related issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales management experience in the construction products industry.
  • Industry knowledge of construction products and gas appliance applications.
  • Strong sales leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work with C-suite decision makers.
  • Financial acumen to support clients and leverage Rinnai benefits.
  • Experience working with distribution accounts.
  • Strong ability to develop dealer networks across verticals.
  • Ability to present key data related to energy efficiency benefits.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CRM tools such as Cobblestone and Project Manager.
  • Proven ability to negotiate outcomes with customers.
  • High level analytical and administrative skills.
