About the position

This position focuses on fostering customer relationships within a team-based selling model, managing deliveries, and developing new business opportunities. The role requires effective communication with clients and internal departments to ensure smooth order processes and account management. The candidate will also be responsible for driving to customer locations to ensure product delivery and maintaining market intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Foster customer relationships in a team-based selling model.
  • Manage deliveries according to the routing schedule and troubleshoot any issues during the order process.
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable, working with the credit department and clients.
  • Develop new business by identifying prospective customers and utilizing market intelligence databases.
  • Drive to existing customers and prospects to ensure product delivery, which may include lifting/carrying up to 75lbs.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in the foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Competitive spirit and results-driven mentality.
  • Problem-solving ability, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and experience with CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Valid driver's license required with a good standing motor vehicle record.
