Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to join our San Francisco Bay Area Field Sales Team. This role is pivotal in promoting and selling IDT's extensive portfolio of products, which includes custom oligonucleotide solutions tailored for various key application areas such as qPCR, CRISPR, Functional Genomics, Synthetic Biology, and Next Generation Sequencing. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and support while managing customer consultations and partnerships within the assigned territory to meet profit and revenue growth objectives. This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements while maintaining a strong focus on achieving sales targets and fostering client relationships. In this role, you will strategically develop and manage assigned accounts to drive revenue growth, as well as prospect for new accounts. You will be expected to prepare detailed information for all sales calls to secure new customers and research territory growth opportunities to formulate an effective business plan and sales strategy. Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with key customers is essential, as is leveraging internal resources to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. You will schedule sales calls and create travel itineraries to address customer needs, executing sales strategies through timely follow-ups and maintaining detailed records in CRM/Salesforce.com. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Science field or a similar discipline, with a preference for a Master’s degree. A minimum of three to five years of sales experience in the life sciences industry, particularly in genomic sales applications, is required. A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets within the assigned territory is essential, along with strong business relationships within both corporate and academic client bases. The role requires residency within the assigned territory, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel as needed. Previous laboratory experience and proficiency with popular CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, as well as knowledge of Power BI, are considered advantageous.
