About the position

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to join our New England Field Sales team, located in the Boston area. This role is pivotal in promoting and selling IDT's comprehensive portfolio of products, which includes custom oligonucleotide solutions across various key application areas such as qPCR, CRISPR, Functional Genomics, Synthetic Biology, and Next Generation Sequencing. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and support while managing customer consultations and partnerships within the assigned territory to achieve profit and revenue growth goals. In this position, you will develop and manage assigned accounts strategically to deliver solutions and drive revenue growth. You will also prospect new accounts and prepare information for all sales calls to secure new customers. Understanding territory growth opportunities is essential for developing an effective business plan and sales strategy. Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with key customers is crucial, as is leveraging internal resources to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. The role requires scheduling sales calls and creating a travel itinerary to address customer needs while executing sales strategies through timely follow-up. You will be expected to maintain detailed notes captured through CRM/Salesforce.com and build in-depth knowledge of CRM and funnel management tools to forecast business, manage customer opportunities, and make informed business decisions. This position is integral to IDT's mission of delivering innovative genomics products and enhancing the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage assigned accounts strategically to deliver solutions and drive revenue growth.
  • Prospect new accounts and prepare information for all sales calls to secure new customers.
  • Research and understand territory growth opportunities for developing an effective business plan and sales strategy.
  • Develop client relationships by understanding both short-term and long-term needs/goals for optimal positioning of IDT's products and services.
  • Maintain and develop strategic partnerships with key customers and leverage internal resources to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule sales calls and travel itinerary to address customer needs and execute sales strategies through timely follow-up.
  • Capture detailed notes through CRM/Salesforce.com and maintain records and communications with the customer base.
  • Build in-depth knowledge of CRM and funnel management tools to forecast business and manage customer opportunities.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of sales experience, preferably in life science reagents/consumables/genomics.
  • Experience selling genomic solutions including qPCR, CRISPR, and NGS.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Reside within a commutable distance to Boston with a strong understanding of Boston area clients in academic/research and biotech/biopharma entities that use customized oligos solutions.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences discipline; MS preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous laboratory experience.
  • PhD in a Life Science.
  • Experience and proficiency with popular CRMs (Salesforce) and knowledge of Power BI preferred.
