About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for Golf at PUMA is responsible for driving sales and managing relationships within the designated territory of Nebraska and Iowa. This role involves extensive travel to various golf accounts, providing exceptional service and technical expertise, and achieving sales volume and distribution targets. The position requires a strong understanding of the golf industry, retail sales practices, and the ability to effectively communicate and present products to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Travel extensively throughout designated territory calling on all golf accounts including Off Course Retail, Green Grass, Management Groups, and National Accounts.
  • Provide the highest level of service and technical expertise from sell in to sell through.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with accounts in the territory and internal stakeholders to drive business.
  • Manage all aspects of the business for wholesale account list including product presentations, business planning, order entry, and operational tasks.
  • Achieve annual sales volume targets for the territory and key accounts.
  • Provide weekly account updates and sales tracking to the Regional Sales Director.
  • Call on and service National Account locations such as Golf Galaxy, Dick's Sporting Goods, and PGA Tour Superstores.
  • Work closely with Key Account Managers to provide store level feedback and identify sales opportunities.
  • Conduct product and brand training throughout the territory to drive sales.
  • Manage order book with designated Sales Support Rep to ensure product is shipping.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in an outside sales role, preferably in the golf industry.
  • 5+ years experience in a customer service and/or sales facing position.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Golf Clubs, Footwear, and Apparel.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI).
  • High level of energy and professionalism.
  • Exceptional follow-through and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of retail sales practices.
  • Ability to grasp, learn, and communicate complex concepts quickly and independently.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and make recommendations on potential solutions.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and work against business deadlines.
