The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for the sales and promotion of Burndy products through Distribution to end-users and specifying influences for attaining assigned sales quotas within a territory. This position covers the Southern Ohio and Kentucky markets, requiring a proactive approach to managing the assigned territory to ensure effective, efficient, and economical use of available time and company assets to achieve sales objectives. A typical day involves conducting sales calls on distributors and all potential users or consumers of Burndy products. The Territory Sales Manager will also train distributor personnel to sell and promote Hubbell products, manage distributor inventory and investments to ensure proper inventories are maintained to service the trading area, and maximize the return on investment. Maintaining accurate account records through TMS and Electronic TMS is crucial, as is conducting sales training both internally and externally within the district and region as directed by field management. The role also includes conducting formal sales presentations to various groups, distributors, and end-users, and communicating with various types of end-users through letters, telephone calls, small group meetings, person-to-person meetings, trade shows, and business-oriented social functions. The Territory Sales Manager will build rapport and strong relationships with distribution, end-users, and specifying influences while servicing distributors and end-users to create demand for the company's product offerings. Additionally, the position requires covering open territories as assigned by the District Manager and serving as a customer information center for literature requests, catalog requests, technical details, drawings, and cross-reference information.
