About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for HVAC at Gustave A. Larson Company is a pivotal role focused on developing and maintaining strong customer and dealer relationships within a designated territory. This position requires a deep understanding of HVAC residential systems, as well as the ability to navigate a competitive sales environment. The primary goal is to ensure customer satisfaction with both service and products, which is achieved through effective communication and a commitment to excellence in customer service. In this role, the Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for continually improving their sales skills and product knowledge to maintain a competitive edge. This includes providing customer service expertise related to pricing, quoting, credit terms, and order management. The manager will also be tasked with presenting and executing National Sales Programs and initiatives, which encompass co-op programs, rebates, returns, strategic business plans, and corporate promotions aimed at driving new business within existing accounts. Collaboration is key in this position, as the Territory Sales Manager will work closely with regional teams to develop and execute business growth plans. This includes scheduling and coordinating dealer support events such as training classes, manufacturer meetings, and joint sales calls. The role is office-based but includes field responsibilities, requiring a keen attention to detail and adherence to all company functions in compliance with State and Federal laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain customer and dealer relationships within an assigned territory and account list.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with service and products.
  • Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Provide customer service expertise and support for pricing, quoting, credit terms, and orders.
  • Present and execute National Sales Programs and initiatives to drive new business.
  • Collaborate and execute regional business growth plans and coordinate dealer support events.
  • Perform all company functions in accordance with State and Federal laws and guidelines.

Requirements

  • 2 years or more of HVAC/R industry experience, specifically in residential systems.
  • Strong understanding of the HVAC/R contracting business.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
