About the position

The Territory Sales Manager II at Forte Opening Solutions is responsible for driving sales growth within a designated territory by developing strategic plans, engaging with key stakeholders, and providing exceptional customer service. This role combines sales expertise with a deep understanding of the building products industry, focusing on building relationships with architects, engineers, and contractors to achieve revenue targets and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates value proposition of products or services using persuasive sales techniques.
  • Creates territory-specific strategic plans to profitably grow the territory.
  • Attains revenue targets and KPIs as set by the sales director.
  • Drives sales opportunities by working with channel influencers (architects, engineers, and general contractors).
  • Learns and recognizes triggers based on customer behavior and engages with customers who request to terminate or downgrade service.
  • Assists customers in the effective execution of product/project strategy for all commercial building projects.
  • Collects market intelligence, shares through CRM, and adjusts offers for future projects.
  • Participates in construction site meetings to resolve warranty/claim issues.
  • Executes customer training in systems, products, and selling skills.
  • Evaluates, monitors, and resolves sales-related issues on a timely basis.
  • Provides timely and accurate forecasts to the supply chain organization to ensure strong service levels and appropriate capacity levels.
  • Analyzes competitor activities in the region and assesses opportunities for business development.
  • Participates in industry or promotional events (e.g., trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships.
  • Educates clients on products and provides training of products and product systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of proven outside sales experience in a building product or construction industry.
  • Experience in a CRM environment.
  • Extensive overnight territory travel (50%+).
  • Ability to safely inspect product and specifications as they relate to warranty/claim issues directly on the job site.
