About the position

The Territory Sales Manager II at National General Insurance is responsible for managing and growing relationships with insurance agencies within a defined territory. This role focuses on driving profitable sales and achieving volume and profit objectives while mentoring and supporting other team members. The position requires a proactive approach to agency management, including prospecting, qualifying, and appointing new agencies, as well as providing training and support to ensure success.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend agencies to participate in profit-sharing, rewards, and special incentives programs.
  • Solicit new agencies, evaluate their potential to write quality new business, and appoint qualified new agencies with limited oversight.
  • Consistently exceed agreed upon new business production, direct written premium, loss ratio goals, and other KPIs on an annual basis.
  • Serve as a role model for team members and assist in training and mentoring new hires.
  • Terminate agents for lack of production or unprofitable results.
  • Increase the percentage of producing agents within the territory through additional training and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 4 year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 5 or more years of experience in a related field (Preferred)
  • Supervisory experience.
